What's on over the weekend?

Opening ceremony
Bishop James of Knaresborough will open the festival at the church at 11am on Sat 3 May.

Church opening times:
- Saturday 3 May - 11am - 4pm (with lunches)
- Sunday 4 May - church services as normal in the morning, then open 2-5pm
- Monday 5 May - 10am - 3pm (with lunches)

Closing prize-giving ceremony
The festival will close after the announcement of the competition winners by Alan Matthews at 3pm on Monday 5 May (bank holiday).

 

Have lunch or refreshments with us
Our catering team is famous for their Thursday lunches, so why not enjoy a good home-cooked lunch on Saturday or Monday? Alternatively, enjoy lighter refreshments throughout all opening hours.

Children: photos of you dressed as an angel!
Boys and girls can use our angelic dressing-up box to dress up and pose as an angelic warrior. We'll take a photo potrait and send it to you by email or post.

Activities
Puzzles and wordsearches, Name the School Angel, and a space for quiet and prayer, + activities for all ages.

Children: get crafty!
There will be colouring, angel-biscuit decorating, and more. So come prepared to have some fun! Photo-frame making, make a wire angel, make a bookmark, make an angel with ‘stained-glass' wings!

Follow an angel trail
Pick up a trail map at the church and follow it to see the angels dotted along the route.

Sainsbury's
The supermarket will be doing some angelic food-tasting - and hosting a large angel...

Angelic displays by local schools
More than 20 schools are preparing angelic displays, which will all be on show inside Holy Trinity Church throughout the weekend.

Go angel-spotting
Not all the angels will be on the trail map! Wander the streets of Ripon... peer into gardens... look into shop windows... don't miss a single heavenly being.

Open Garden
At 7 Crescent Parade there will be an open garden all weekend - feel free to wander around spotting a multitude of angels. Donations if wished to Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow trust.

Cathedral angel-trail
Ripon Cathedral is making 4 angels... enjoy looking at them and follow their angel trail to discover more about angels within the building.

Town Hall
